Documented facts only, please edit

The article used as reference to say that Pinto da Costa fled to Spain never says he actually fled. First of all, the word "fuga" (escape) in the title is between quotation marks, meaning it wasn't an actual escape; besides, if you can read portuguese you can see that the whole article only mentions that Carolina said they fled and Pinto da Costa was interrogated about it. It never says they actually fled. All the text is written in a conditional way: "terá revelado estar iminente a detenção", "que terá permitido a Pinto da Costa ausentar-se do país", "terá mantido esta versão", etc. Expressions like "segundo a versão da própria" or "No livro Eu Carolina, a ex-companheira de Pinto da Costa conta que" make it very clear that the text is based on what Carolina wrote and there is absolutely no evidence that it actually happened like that.

And the part about why Luís Filipe Vieira isn't being investigated as well is pure speculation and personal opinion. Nobody connected to Apito Dourado (judges, prosecutors, etc.) ever said any of that.

I know it's a polemical issue, but it's less polemical if we stick to the facts. Lampadinha 00:02, 12 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree with you Lampadinha.

This is a case that should only report facts that are public and not opinions! vsnunes 12:35, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

New section edit

I'd like to propose a new section on the page about the 'current situation'. It is stated, among other informations, that Pinto da Costa was suspended and Boavista relegated. Although the decisions of the LPFP are mandatory, they are not final and are subject to an appeal from the defendants.Ryszard Grodzisko (talk) 14:01, 10 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pinto da Costa was considered not guilty (30-06-2008). 84.90.24.156 (talk) 19:03, 30 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Major clean-up edit

This article needs a major clean-up of facts, references, etc. Probably also a protection against edits from unregistered users as it is prone to vandalism due to the sensitivity of the matter.--Ryszard Grodzisko (talk) 10:21, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Is this long suspects list relevant?--Ryszard Grodzisko (talk) 10:21, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why was a team not involved in the alleged matches relegated? edit
