Paolí?

That last accent does not seem right... and here's someone of Corsican descent; hence the right spelling would be Paoli. True? Demf 19:04, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

I second the suggestion that the final accent on Paoli in the article headline seems quite incorrect--and here it is more than 2½ years since the point was first raised. Yet it's unclear to me how to correct the headline. Wbkelley (talk) 04:47, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Critics

• Your additions are based on you own point of view, which you pretend to back up with unsourced comments by so-called critics which in themselves maybe expressing thier own baised points-of-view. Wikipedia, my friend, is about "facts" and the "facts" state that "Paoli was awarded The Cross of St. Mauricio medal by the Czar of Russia Nicholas II and in 1907, he was also decorated by Carlos I of Braganza. He was named as "Singer of the Royal Court" by William II of Germany. Paoli was the first opera artist to record an entire opera when he recorded Pagliacci by Ruggiero Leoncavallo." This is regardless of what you or the critics John Steane and Michael Scott, which you cite have to say. Funny thing is that your source is not even verifiable. Do you want the page reference for Steane and Scott or do you want me to add dozens of other critics reactions to Paoli's singing. They are valid reference books not websites. Sources from books, must provide 1. Tittle of book; 2. Tittle of article; 3. Author; 4. Date published; 5. Vol. number; 6.page where article appears; 7. Publisher; 8. ISBN number. It would also be nice if you created an account instead of using three different IPS's in case Steane or Scott reads this article and would like to comment or protest about your additions, we would know who to direct them to. Said article has been protected from the edits of User:92.29.117.75 (who also edits as User:84.13.201.145 and User:59.101.21.169, humm?) who continues to revert to his additions which claim the following:

"Outside of his native Puerto Rico,however, many modern critics regard Paoli as almost comically crude and loud. John Steane (The Grand Tradition 1971) says Paoli is wobbly and barn storming and Michael Scott (Record of Singing 1978) is even less kind."

I have tried to find sources to his claims and have not found any. Until said user or anyone else can provide the verifiable reliable sources as required by Wikipedia policy to sustain the claims of said user, this article will remain protected from further editing.
