I have received an email from the contributor of this text (via Jimbo Wales). He confirms that he is the owner of the site this text was taken from and that he "[has] no problem with Wikimedia using this or any other information obtained from my website". -- sannse (talk) 17:55, 16 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- I rewrote the first paragraph for terseness and clarity, but I also toned down some wording which had some NPOV issues. More of this needs to be done in the last two paragraphs and references need to be cited. I would have done more, but I don't know what the policy is for changing quoted text (the last paragraph is almost all a quote).--Hraefen 06:44, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
- First off he was Timpanogos Shoshone. All the Ute references are incorrect! There are numerous sources for this and it’s time we got it right. We could add much more to his story, and the Timpanogos Shonshone whom the Mormons attempted to wipe from the face of the earth with Special order #2. Name edit
Is it not known what his real Indian name was? And where does the name "Antonga" come from? What language is it from, what does it mean, and why was he called that? Billy7 (talk) 06:07, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
- Yes! First he was Timpanogos Shoshone, not Ute. 2600:6C8A:A200:16:F147:FF51:FD39:A27A (talk) 19:01, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
