By age 50, over half his life in federal prisons???
editAre we sure it was in FEDERAL prisons that he spent over half his life by age 50??? I mean, federal prosecutions are for high-level stuff, like conspiracy. Almost all crimes related to violence are state violations and you go to a state prison, not a federal prison. If anybody doesn't know for sure, in a few months I'm going to just change it to "prisons" rather than "Federal prisons". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.144.66.251 (talk) 21:32, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
Response
editI'm not sure, but I believe he was in state prison, since my late mother met him there while he was serving time next to the cellmate she was there to visit (a low-level thug serving time for murder). Mom also never said he was abusive to her, and she wasn't the kind to tolerate that treatment. In fact, she said he was a perfect gentleman. When I was ten, I saw him talking to her outside our building on the UES, went up to him, asked him how he knew Mom and what he did for a living, and he was nothing but polite with me (if only I'd known!). I can't speak to what other women say about him but I knew two of his mistresses (including another neighbor), and talked to him myself. He seemed very stereotypical, in retrospect. I do remember seeing the picture of his murder scene on the front page of the Daily News. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:43:0:f320:310f:21ad:801b:18e3 (talk) 14:26, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
Inconsistent relationship with Joseph D'Amico listed
editAt one point, it says Joseph D'Amico is his cousin. At another point, it says he's D'Amico's uncle. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.19.231.240 (talk) 02:30, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
