Find correct name
The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

Needs more information about the role he played in the coup of 1975 and an infobox (B2 and B5). Shotgunscoop (talk) 14:50, 27 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thank you Shotgunscoop. My background is in translation and politics more than military history, but I will give it as much of a stab as I can Unknown Temptation (talk) 17:03, 27 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
I have added details from the 2012 interview. I know that books are better for this kind of thing, but I have no access to them. Unknown Temptation (talk) 17:30, 27 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Unknown Temptation Great! Also, adding an infobox with a picture will automatically upgrade this article to C-class, if you didn't already know. Shotgunscoop (talk) 17:37, 27 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Shotgunscoop I have added an infobox with the information that has already been sourced. I don't think there is a public domain photo as there aren't any on foreign versions of this page. On Commons, the page of images of the park where his bust is [1] doesn't show any photos of the bust itself. I'm unaware whether fair use permits an image of a public figure who died only six years ago. Unknown Temptation (talk) 18:02, 27 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Unknown Temptation I did a bit of searching, and it turns out you can request a copy of a news biography about him from RTP Arquivos (link: https://arquivos.rtp.pt/conteudos/biografia-de-pires-veloso/) if you have a Portuguese citizenship/identity number? ... not completely sure. The terms and conditions of the website say that it provides its files for educational use. Then it's just a matter of taking a screenshot for the infobox picture. Shotgunscoop Unfortunately I'm not Portuguese, just have lived there before. I will look on the WikiProject if they can help Unknown Temptation (talk) 18:43, 27 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
