Anti-Maine Law?

edit

The article says that Morill was the candidate of a breakaway faction of the Democrats who were against the Maine Law. But this article says that the anti-Maine Law Democrats took control of the Convention and Morill was the candidate of the pro-Temperance faction. This would make sense, considering his alliance with the Know-Nothings and Free Soilers. Could someone confirm this? 2604:3D08:777C:C00:15F3:12ED:25D7:39C0 (talk) 18:10, 25 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
