Icon for the Swedish left?

Delete Proposal

Personally, I have not heard of her. I tried to find a source that she has been convicted of felony murder by searching for her (under her married and also her maiden name). However I found nothing in the BBC, CNN and the New York Times. This article has been tagged for citations for over a month, and still contains no citations, and the only external links a personal homepage and some links in Swedish (I assume, unfortunately I do not speak Swedish). The whole article is about a crime that she has allegedly done, but I have not been able to varify this (and noone else has done so in since it was tagged).

My my you must be extraordinarily ungifted at using the Internet. Is this all you can do? Police around here at Wikipedia, finding articles to delete? Why don't you write something instead? You do know how to write?

Arguments against deletion:

• Simply because supporting references are not available in English, does not inherently negate the validity of the article.
• The first reference currently list is a news article, in English, which does validate the two convictions of felony murder. It's not the New York Times, but it does cite respected Swedish newspapers.

Some weird references to other crimes

• First I must say that I am a swede, but I understand above criticism...this article may not have any interest outside of Sweden, but to the parties involved in her case.
• Now to the main criticism. Why should references to the Malexander murders be made? The case is not similar. Their actions were from start driven by cruelty and disrespect for people around them (it started with a meticuluos planned armed robbery that led to a car chase that ended in the murders of the two policemen in a wartime execution-style) and the defendants were all aware of every step they made. Annika Östberg was a drug addict that happened to be in a precarious situation that made her to be present while her boyfriend murdered two people. I would not dare to interfere in a situation like that!

Sweden has only a political interest in this case. She has spent most of her life in America, and was convicted of killing Americans. Everything you have written is entirely POV. You continue by ignoring the facts of the case. She killed a man in 1972. Then helped kill 2 more, including pre-meditaded murder. When they tried to arrest her, she tried to kill the police. You paint it as a Swedish woman victimized by America, yet she was in America many years before she decided to become a cold blooded murderer. Certainly if you completely ignore facts, you can make anyone look sympathetic, but even she admitted to killing. Section on Swedish Malexander murders removed

I have removed the section quoted below. I fail to see that a comparison to the Malexander murders is at all relevant, and the article gives no reference to support that "the Malexander comparison" has been notable in Swedish debate, or even used. Nor is there any mention of this in the Swedish Wikipedia.

[...] despite the somewhat similar "Malexander" case, in which Andreas Axelsson has been denied a fixed-length sentence for the murder of two Swedish policemen. The difference was that Axelsson actually fired his gun, even if it could not be proven that he hit.

Why Does This Article Even Exist?

Unless this is someone famous who actually has some prior fame or reason for being on Wikipedia before conviction, this is just some article someone wrote someday when they were bored. I searched sources in ALL LANGUAGES and found little to nothing that can support this article. I'm even looking here on this Talk page, and you all are removing or avoiding things that could HELP this article. I know I'm a stranger passing by, and I'm not usually one to recommend deletion for articles... But this article just upsets me since there are way better things to write and argue about.
