I have been researching and working to improve this entry for my Women's History class. While writing my rough drafts, I found that it would be difficult to wedge all my new information into the previous entry due to the amount of information and that I am new to writing and editing Wiki articles. Also, I tried to improve the flow and organization of the article by adding new categories. Soon, I'll be adding a timeline (dates and places) of Annie's trip, a few further readings, and some "See Also" tags. Place names - see WP:OVERLINK. How likely is it that a reader will click on e.g. Singapore? I spent time cleaning up a couple of sections, but more needs to be done.

It is a bit far-fetched to call Annie Cohen Kopchovsky for Latvian. At the time (1870-1875) Latvia was not a state, Latvians were an ethnicity/nation living on soil governed by other nations. Kopchovsky is a Russian or Polish surname. Cohen is Jewish and her parents were most likely Russian citizens. It would be more correct to call Annie a Russian Jew from Riga, which now is in Latvia. What in the world is up with this phrase: "albeit mostly by ship" in the introductory paragraph? I note that Thomas Stevens (cyclist), whose journey was very similar to Annie's, has no such qualification. It sure seems like there's some implicit bias going on.
