Pronunciation

Does anyone here know for sure how the name "Storace" should be pronounced? I know the Italian pronunciation, but what was she called in England? Did it rhyme with "race"? Or with "Horace"? The Russian Wikipedia entry transliterates the name so that it rhymes with "race", I saw elsewhere on the web that it should be pronounced as in Italian (sto-RAH-cheh), but I find it hard to believe that in 18th-century London people would stick with the Italian pronunciation. I'm translating into Hebrew a book about Mozart, that's about to go to print very soon, so I need this information quite urgently... Dates

The dates don't make sense. The Handel Commemoration was at Westminster Abbey in 1784. Or was there another one in 1791, and when did she retire from public life?--RichardVeryard 22:14, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Basic lack of proof

During her stay in Vienna she married John Abraham Fisher, a much older celebrated violinist; but he used to beat her so cruelly that she refused to bear his name. Apparently she persuaded the Emperor to order him out of the city, a favour she probably repaid in the usual way.

Her relationship with Mozart was also probably more than just professional.
