Notability edit

My concern is that there's no indication of why she's notable. In fact, at the moment this article is suitable for speedy deletion. When I went to tag the article, though, I noticed it wasn't very old, so I changed it to the notability tag. Is she notable? -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 14:45, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

What's really needed is some indication about why she's notable. Yes, there are works she's published (novels, short stories, etc), but anyone can publish. The lead paragraph should state something about her importance - right now it just says she was a professor. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 04:12, 22 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Appears notable as an author in a specific area of literature, have looked into some of the background sources. I've only done a cursory check on Factiva and elsewhere online though, I'd imagine there'd be useful stuff offline which I don't have access to. Orderinchaos 10:14, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I would support notablity based upon being a published author. I have seen lots of Biography articles here and she is much better documented than several I have seen. Here published works are numerous. C. Williams (talk) 13:49, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
