Violent Women

edit

I removed a claim that she made a comeback in the 1979 film The Violent Women. The only problem is that IMDb doesn't list any such film. This repeats the claim, but the cast and director are for a 1960 film called Violent Women, and Kashfi is not listed in the credits on IMDb. Clarityfiend (talk) 07:43, 20 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

They meant 10 violent women which was released in 1979. The details on the film as listed on imdb are mostly not correct including the cast and release year. It was a low budget exploitation film which few (including the people who made it) cared about which is why the imdb info is so wrong. And before the lecture comes, yes I know that this is original research. Yes I know it can't be included in the article. But I thought it was worth mentioning anyway. 75.17.124.220 (talk) 15:14, 18 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Yes, you have to be careful with IMDb and it's best to double check their info. But I trust them more than I trust Wikipedia. And I trust my own original research more than I truth either one of them. Why else would one do it? 74.104.189.176 (talk) 14:01, 9 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation

edit

Maybe a disambiguation link would be useful, as the name Anna Kashfi has been used by Manchester-based band, members Sian Webley, James Youngjohns, Sarah Kemp, Peter Martin and Graham Ebbrell. http://www.annakashfi.co.uk/biography.html I have no further details

Kashfi's ethnicity

edit

Studying Kashfi's face carefully and having lived with native Indian people, I believe she was part Indian, regardless of what her parents' insisted. Not only judging by her deep coloration, but her bone structure and certain facial features look undeniably partially Indian, in my educated opinion. It would not at all be unusual for that type of thing to occur during that period in time, and there is a lot of English/Indian DNA existant - it would have also routinely been kept hidden or denied. Sorry, but she does not look 100% Northern European! A DNA test would solve that easily. 98.125.160.249 (talk) 20:12, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Actually the article does mention that extensively.
