Lactilla edit

Lactilla redirects here, but this name isn't mentioned anywhere in this article, except for as the title of Waldron's book. Can a mention be added so that the reader who searches for this is taken to some useful information? – Arms & Hearts (talk) 16:51, 12 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

I've added a couple references to support that she was referred to as Lactilla. There are more, if needed: [1]. gobonobo + c 20:02, 17 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
I think ideally we'd be able to say a little more than just that she was known by the name – what it means and in what context it was used, for example – but your addition is certainly enough to resolve the possible confusion and make the redirect useful. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 18:14, 18 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
I agree. I didn't find much in the way of context in my first pass. A line in her 1785 poem Clifton Hill reads "Lactilla, shivering, tends her fav'rite cow", which apparently is a self-reference. This source says it is her pen-name and I'd be inclined to go with that. gobonobo + c 18:42, 18 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
