The current external link to the Official Website links to http://www.anmerhall.com/ -- this appears to be a website associated with this building, but actually it is a sales website for a kitchen manufacturer (http://www.nakedkitchens.com/) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.74.233.66 (talk) 17:15, 15 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Listed building status

edit

The article states that the hall was de-listed as buildings owned by Her Majesty the Queen cannot be listed. I am virtually certain that this cannot be correct, although the source says it. Amner certainly was listed, and during the Queen's ownership. Equally, Windsor, Buckingham Palace and Sandringham are all listed, and all in the Queen's lifetime. Therefore, if Amner has been de-listed, I'm sure it is not because it is owned by the Queen. Propose changing this unless others have a better source for it's alleged de-listing. Following correspondence with the Historic Environment Service at Norfolk County Council, they have confirmed that Anmer Hall was "listed on 08/10/84 when it was the residence of the Duke of Kent, and de-listed on 02/09/88." Neither they, nor English Heritage whom they contacted, have evidence as to why it was delisted, and certainly no evidence that is was delisted on the grounds that properties owned by HM The Queen cannot be listed. Morover, they accept that this claim contradicts the fact that Sandringham House is listed. They have therefore agreed to amend their website and I shall amend the article accordingly.
