Choosing a Screenwriter and Assembling a Bibliography

For the Wikipedia assignment, I’ve chosen to expand the stub article on Canadian/Ukrainian screenwriter/director Anita Doron. The majority of sources that I compiled for this initial bibliography offer snippets of information of what she’s worked on, the types of funding bodies that she’s cooperated with, the awards she’s won, and her personal life. Together, I think these sources can help me expand her stub article and offer a more complete overview of her career and the films she’s made.

Hey HereBeDragons94,

I’d like to start off by saying that your page on Anita Doron is fantastic. It is incredibly detailed and paints a very clear picture of her past and all the work she has done in her field. These are the minor changes that could benefit your article if you choose to accept them:

-In the opening portion of your page, a couple of things can be changed. Firstly where you state her date of birth in the parentheses you also put the country she was born in. You could just remove the country she was born in from there seeing as how you mention it again later, making it more concise. Also, when it is stated what she is “best known for”, maybe you could just shorten the list and put the most prominent works.

-In the “Early Life and Education” section, you have tons of great information. Everything is obviously relevant seeing as how it is her early life but maybe certain parts can be blended into the larger paragraphs. For example, when you state the information about her almost being sold into marriage maybe you could incorporate it into another paragraph. It seems out of place all by itself as a single point.

-Lastly in the “Awards and Nominations” section, a revision of the order of her accomplishments would be needed to make sure they are all in chronological order by year.

Your article is superb ! Though, there are minor changes I would do to enhance the fluidity of your article. Early Life and Education shouldn't be under the same heading, because it is a heavy paragraph to follow. And the Personal Life heading should not be between her literary works and her filmography, it is a dry cut. I would suggest to do:

Heading 1: Early Life Heading 2: Education Heading 3: Personal Life Heading 4: Career

Changes Made in "Awards & Nominations" Section

Hi! In my original edit of the section “Awards and Nominations,” I had added information on an award Doron received by the Shangri-La Hotel and Telefilm Canada. It was edited down to: “In 2012, Doron along with six other female Canadian filmmakers, was honored for her “contribution to Canada’s cinematographic heritage.” I was just wondering why the information describing who gave her the award was removed from the article.
