Cleanup

I've cleaned up the article significantly, creating a new history section and adding all of the information regarding Animax's history there, as well as adding new information regarding Animax's birth in Japan plus its involvement in anime production, and removing all NPOV and unsourced statements - therefore I hope now all of the previous issues should now be resolved. I've also created a seperate section for all of the anime and other programs broadcast by Animax - a programming section in the main article will follow soon. - Ganryuu 14:42, 25 May 2006 (UTC) wonderful cleanup...I also thought the chilean dispute of anime in Animax was irrelevant and non-neutral for this main article. A list of Animax's Voice Actors needed

Well, since more than 90% of the English versions of anime aired in Animax feature the same voice actors, a list featuring their names and the roles that they're best known for is necessary. Any help, guys?? rohith 16:26, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Animax have also aired English dubs conducted by other enterprises, especially those with whom it has a direct affiliation, such as Bandai - examples being Cowboy Bebop, Galaxy Angel, Fullmetal Alchemist, Saber Marionette, Tsukigake Ran, Jubei-chan, Alien Nine, and numerous other examples - therefore it would be inaccurate to state that "more than 90%" are dubbed completely by their team, though yes, a lot of series have been dubbed by their team. Also, there have been instances in which an anime series, even though it has other English dub counterparts, Animax have dubbed it themselves, notable instances being Wolf's Rain and the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series. Animax has broadcast Bandai's English dubs of Galaxy Angel, Saber Marionette, Jubei-chan, and numerous others as quoted above, which were dubbed by Bandai - see Anime News Network's entries for these series for reference and more information. Ganryuu (talk) 21:01, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Animax (TV network) → Animax – The only entry with the actual title Animax is Animax (TV network). The page Animax is currently a disambiguation entry consisting of only two entries: Animax (TV network), the only actual entry with the complete title Animax, whereas the other entry is titled Animax Entertainment, a different title. I therefore believe that a disambiguation is unnecessary and therefore I request that the article, Animax (TV network), be moved into Animax, its actual title.

Brazil and Latin America complain

Dudes, why all you keep putting out Brazil as part of Latin America? If you see the definition in Wikipedia, or any other encyclopedia, Latin America refers to ALL THE COUNTRIES who speaks Romanic Languages (including Portugese). Animax operates two different feeds within Latin America, which is the title it denotes for its Spanish-language Latin American feeds, see Animax Latin America official site, whereas there is a different and seperate Portuguese-language feed operating only in Brazil, entitled Animax Brazil, Animax Brazil official site - therefore the statement including Brazil was mentioned within the article. This is to signify the difference between the two seperate feeds operating in Latin and South America, not whether or not Brazil is in Latin America (that discussion belongs in the Latin America article, not here) as this entry is about Animax's history in the region. Anime-only?

I'm sorry to say this, but Animax is NOT an anime only network. It has televised numerous U.S. productions as well, including The New Pink Panther Show, Stuart Little The Animated Series among others. (Well, atleast in South Asia!) rohith 17:21, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Animax is an anime television network which is dedicated and based upon anime-exclusive programming, according to all authentic and verified sources, including all of Animax's official websites, see Animax official site, Animax Asia corporate profile, Animax-SA corporate profile, Animax Latin America official site, to name a few, Anime News Network (see corporate profile and news entries), BusinessWeek (see referenced article quoted), The Star, and numerous other renowned and verified sources, being acknowledged by these and several other references as an anime-only, all-anime and 24-hour anime television network. I was just watching it (Singapore feed) and it was airing computer game competition stuff. I also saw a puffy amiyumi music video on there earlier. Actual format

During my previous cleanup, I categorized each of the content in accordance to the preferred style of format e.g. categorizing content about Southeast Asia and other regions of East and South Asia into one major Asia sub-section in the History section, as I believe the current amount of details on the Taiwan/Southeast Asia sections does not currently warrant enough content to have a new section on its own. Also, in regards to recent edits on the Latin American section of the page, specifically about the details about Locomotion - actual authentic references needs to be added per Wikipedia:Verifiability in order to have it added on the main page in order to verify any relationship with this article. All other editors who are contributing to this article, I wholeheartedly accept your contributions and request that if you wish to make any major changes, specifically regarding the format of this entry, if you would discuss them on the talk page first, your efforts will be greatly appreciated! Please discuss changes you wish to make in this article's talk page, instead in other pages - you see, it's much easier to navigate and discuss among ourselves that way (^_^). Regarding your earlier edits, I wish to inform you that the original logo, Image:Animax.png, is more suited to this article's infobox, as it is the original, most well known logo used by the original parent company, Animax Broadcast Inc, as detailed on many of the references I have added. The previous logo was also unsourced, and is therefore unsuitable to be added to any articles per the image guideline policies. Animax Brazil

ok, animax BRAZIL, does not exist, it is Animax Latin America that airs in brazil, but only with PORTUGESE (brazillian language) feedback, and maybe a couple OTHER minor differences, if you check most of animax's websites (the ASIA website, the SOUTH ASIA website, the HONG KONG website, the TAIWAN website), you we will see that they have a total list of ALL their animax websites on top of the page, and in that list animax latin america is present but animax Brazil is NOT!!! and if you check the BRAZILIAN website that WAS on the main page, you will see it does not look or seem like the OTHER animax websites, it does NOT even include the logo of animax, and probably NOT EVEN the word Animax there. SO, i have removed the brazilian website from the main page, as a brazilian website does NOT exist, and MAY certainly NOT be official!!! Too Cool 07:23, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Returning The Criticisms

Shouldn't we note the criticisms made to Animax? They seem to be erased from the original article. While there may be some lack of neutrality, much of the information given is nearly accurate. I think the people have the right to know. 210.213.247.221 11:00, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Please see Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. For content to be added, actual authentic references from verified sources (such as verifiable newspapers, etc.) must be added to back it up - if not, they have to be removed immediately. For example, fancruft from forums and original research without any evidences have to be removed immediately, for more see Wikipedia:Verifiability and the above policy pages. Since the earlier content had no authentific references or sources whatsoever and constituted original research, they were removed immediately as Wikipedia is not a source for unsourced rants and ravings, and one's personal opinions/views do not have any place here. I would also like to remind user Too Cool to adhere to Wikipedia:Civility and not resort to personal attacks (which are not tolerated here on Wikipedia, please see these policies for more information) (for one, I am a man - if you knew Japanese you would have known, for other uses of my name see Sasaki Kojiro, for example). The criticisms don't lack neutrality, they BREAK it, rock hard. If we have to get the criticism sections back, someone has to monitor and fix it. So it doesn't break the NPOV. Pathbinder 11:35, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
