How is there a talking gorilla in a detective agency, anyway? Anything in the series to say? 2601:647:5800:3B60:4462:E45D:493C:359 (talk) 05:39, 1 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

I am requesting a small change in the article on Angel and the Ape. The sentence I wish to correct is:

"This is in contrast to the original series, wherein people see Sam's true form but convinced themselves he is simply an unusually ape-like human male, since it is "impossible" for there to be such a thing as a talking gorilla."

In the original series, Sam doesn't talk in English. Only a few people who know him very well can understand him. The others hear gibberish, even if they think he is human. Thus, his "talking" is not proof of his "humanity."
Presumably, this is because a gorilla's throat can not simulate a human voice, even if guided by a superhuman intellect. However, his intelligence is obvious even to strangers. So I suggest:
"This is in contrast to the original series, wherein people see Sam's true form but convinced themselves he is simply an unusually ape-like human male, since it is "impossible" for there to be such a thing as an intelligent gorilla."
