The key point to Andy's motivation to run is the very fact that he has little political experience and the fact that he is not notable is what he's working to overcome. The very fact that he's using the Internet as it was intended, to communicate, is notable. The fact that he's doing something more substantial then posting an Americas Funniest Home video on Youtube is also notable. The viral nature of the web has many success stories and if intelligent use of tools like Wiki helps to get his message out, what's the harm? Hawaii is a small market and starting a campaign with little money and little notoriety would be difficult for anyone even a seasoned politician.
