Readers at UK universities = US lecturers, US Assistant Professors and are rarelysometimes notable. The most likely claim to notability is his editorships, which need to be checked. DGG 05:15, 2 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have edited the list of publications (etc) to reduce the vanity factor, and advised the author on his home page to add some third party references.
I am not entirely sure that every journal listed as being a peer-reviewed journal actually is peer-reviewed.
The impact factor of the one he listed is pretty low--halfway down the JCR scale is not very impressive.

It's not that relevant, because the outcome of the AfD won't depend on this, but my understanding is that Assistant Professor (as opposed to Associate Professor) is a junior position in US universities. Reader is a very senior position in the UK/Commonwealth system, which has fewer people (proportionally) than the US with full professorial rank. E.g. Richard Dawkins was a Reader for some time before an externally funded professorial chair was created for him. Metamagician3000 23:20, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
