The article says that he was the youngest illegitimate son of James the Fat, who in turn was the sole surviving son of Murdoch Stewart, Duke of Albany. However, Andrew Stewart's DNB article says that he was the son of James the Fat's brother Walter (executed 1425). I propose to amend this article accordingly, citing the DNB article.
