Article name

Was he generally known as "Andrew Edward" rather than just Andrew? If not, the article should be called Andrew McKeever: see WP:NAMEPEOPLE.

Also, how did he end his career by flying home in fog?

Quick Assessment/Review

I have carried out a quick assessment/review of this article as per the request on the Military History project assessment page. I have rated it as a Start class article but feel that it could be made up to a B class article with just a lit bit more work. Some points I have are:

• References: for a Military History project B class assessment, each paragraph needs a citation, there are currently a couple of paragraphs without citations. I know it is a duplication of work in some cases, but it helps readers who've not been involved in writing the article to know exactly where the information came from. Please add them in, even if they are the same as the paragraph above, using the namedrefs system that I have introduced to the article and then that criterion can be ticked as done;
• Coverage: the infobox has a date of 1914 as when McKeever began his service, however, the Canadian Dictionary of Biography entry seems to indicate 1915, can this please be checked? I understand that there appears to be some confusion about this subject's birth details and service details with some sources having different dates, and some saying militia service, while others say service with the CEF in the trenches. I think you have done well to put the article together in the circumstances.
• Style: can you please check the designation for the squadrons that are mentioned? Currently they are listed as Squadron 11 and Squadron 1, however, this seems to be an unconventional designation. Should it be 11 Squadron and 1 Squadron?
• External link: I suggest removing the amazon.com external link. I am unable to format it as it requires a log in to view. As it is doubtful that most wiki readers have an appropriate log in it probably isn't adding very much to the article. Just a suggestion though.

Some more general points that do not affect a B class assessment, but could help improve the article:

• I am a little concerned about the image that is used. The copyright tag on it doesn't seem right to me. It states that copyright has expired in countries that have terms of the authors life plus 100 years. Given that the photo caption says it was taken in 1919, even if we assumed the author died straight after taking the photo, 100 years after that would be 2019 (ten years from now), hence the tag is not correct. Also more details need to be added too, if possible, e.g author and an approx date of when it was taken would be great. Obviously it has to be either mid-late 1918 or sometime in 1919 (given that the subject is wearing an RAF uniform and they only came into being on 1 April 1918 and the subject died in December 1919), however, it needs to be stated on the image description page.
• With the citations for the awards, it might improve the level of referencing and provide more resources for readers if the citations themselves had in line citations to the original London Gazette citations. These can be found by going to: [1] and carrying out a search (can be a bit frustrating to find them sometimes and you need to play around with the search terms and dates).
• The lead could possibly be expanded a little bit to summarise the article more.
• An image of the subject's aircraft or a similar aircraft in the text might also improve it and break up the text a little.

Anyway that is all I have at the moment. Good work so far. As I said above, just a few tweaks and I think this article could be a B class.
