Does this mean that this is a bar? --Jarerod

Their web site advertises it as a restaurant. There is a bar within, though. --Varco 19:02, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

This article states: "The Anchor Bar's main claim to fame is that it is the birthplace of chicken wings" Guess this answers the question of which came first, the chicken or the egg - it must have been neither. As the chicken presumabley appeared with wings attached, then the Anchor Bar must have come first. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.158.61.140 (talk) 19:59, 1 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Anchor Bar had jazz?

edit

in this youtube about the early days of bebop jazz, the Anchor Bar is mentioned as a place where some of the jazz greats played regularly. It's actually more interesting than the wings. about 13 minutes or so in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnHi0GR0REs

also, the offhand description of the invention of the sauce seems a little vague, considering it tastes exactly like Frank's Red Hot which just about every recipe is based on. 207.237.14.175 (talk) 01:27, 31 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
