A start
editAs requested, not that I had time to work on this today, but I was feeling a bit guilty about not having done a whole lot yet for Wikiproject Latvia. And to any editors who feel like coming along and arguing the occupation thing here, "occupation" is used by the sources, I'm only representing the sources.
The article still needs some basics, speaking of which: do we have/need templates for:
- heads of the Latvian Legation?
- Latvian ambassadors to the United States?
- Latvian ambassadors/delegates to the U.N.?
Apologies, ran out of steam, need to get ready for our annual Christmas "serenade" at the Bronx Zoo Festival of Lights tomorrow. :-) PētersV (talk) 23:37, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
Bucket for sources waiting to be integrated
editFound another article in Latvijas Vēstnesis, very nicely fills in the 70's/80's/90's where the article is lacking. I might take a hand at translating it to have as a source, sticking the link here for sharing and safe-keeping: [1] —PētersV (talk) 04:09, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Incorporated a bunch. —PētersV (talk) 00:45, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Ambassadors
editI'm having an internet search engine search parameter mental block in coming up with the full lists of names and dates for Latvian ambassadors to the U.S. and U.N. (in New York). Any assistance appreciated! PētersV (talk) 00:45, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- I should mention (or perhaps not!) the mental block includes the name of at least one ambassador whom I've met whose name has been on the tip of my tongue for days. :-( —PētersV (talk) 00:48, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
It's a bitty I missed the creation point of this article, would have definitely nominated it for DYK. Good work PētersV! --Termer (talk) 07:08, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
