there is no name update. The species name is Anasaitis canosa, please moved the page name back to its proper name Phiditude (talk) 04:30, 4 May 2024 (UTC)

- GB Edwards looked into it...yeah..."It is changed in the World Spider Catalog. It is because of Saitis from which Anasaitis is derived. While often nouns that end in -is are feminine, Saitis is gender masculine (meaning "citizen of Sais"), therefore, any word derived from it is also masculine. Any associated specific epithet that is adjectival (ends in -a for feminine, -us for masculine) will be changed accordingly.
