Initial review edit

@Kj cheetham: Many thanks for your initial review of the page!

I have a question about one thing. It's actually a question about how to interpret the Template:Like resume header in articles in general. I understand the idea, that the page reads like an academic biography, but what concrete steps would you suggest undertaking to improve this?

More generally, I see this template on a lot of different pages and IMO the template needs to be improved. Right now, it links to WP:RESUME which is a satirical essay saying, basically, don't post your own CV on Wikipedia. That's obvious, but doesn't say anything about what to do in cases of biographical articles that read like a resume. Ideally, it would link to a more helpful page with some suggestions. Hi Caleb Stanford, for this particular article, it was Htanaungg who added the Template:Like resume header rather than me, though I didn't remove it. To me, the article doesn't look like a resume, so I've been WP:BOLD and removed it. I tend to use that tag more for articles where it just gives a list of previous positions and/or research areas, rather than prose.
To be honest, I agree the template itself could be improved, but I personally don't get involved with template design. I see you've posted on the template talk page though, so hopefully that helps prompt a change! -Kj cheetham (talk) 16:37, 5 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
