"Hoax"? ...! edit

Did anyone apart from folk who are a little slow on the uptake actually believe this was a work of non-fiction? Did no-one actually spot that the book was not categorised as fiction or non-fiction on the jacket? Did no warning bells ring when the narrative encompassed the Shakespearean authorship question, an alleged purge of violinists conducted by the Vatican, and the true origin of Springheeled Jack? People this dense don't deserve to be able to read. Garrick92 12:36, 27 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

My brother gave me a copy of this for my birthday, with a card reading "Let me know how far through this you are when you've worked out whether or not it's a piss-take." :o)

(As for the Shakespearean authorship question, that didn't ring warning bells for me since it's represented in the museum at the (reconstructed) Globe Theatre in London as an ongoing debate...)

As I say at Talk:Rohan Kriwaczek, P. D. Q. Bach is an article. I'll point out here that this fictional work about funerary violin is in that same vein. tbc (talk) 02:23, 16 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Notabilty edit

I re-added a notability tag removed by another user without explanation. There are many books and many not notable. The content and refs hee do not establish notabilty. Please do not delete the tag without any discussion or article improvements. --Fremte (talk) 17:06, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Entered culture in 2009 edit

Per Rocklopedia Fakebandica, Sarah Singleton borrowed the idea in her 2009 novel. tbc (talk) 04:38, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
