At the end of the "early life" section, a source is mentioned in connection to how Winehouse listened and was inspired by certain artists. I read the two original articles and they do not seem to mention these artists by name, and as such seems to me to be conjecture.
"She was influenced by Sarah Vaughan and Dinah Washington, the latter of whom she was already listening to home."
Whilst I agree that this is not at all implausible in her field of jazz singing, the cited sources does not explicitly mention this, and as this is a protected article I am not able to edit it myself. I am also confused by the wording of "the latter of whom" which does not seem to have any basis at all in the cited article. Gedigen Varelse (talk) 03:17, 30 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the alert! Figuring there would be some valid influences described somewhere in sources, I looked at a few nearby footnotes and found a good interview with Access All Areas in which Amy names the singers that most affected her style.
