Is this article still a stub? I'm curious as to what length and depth of information an article has to reach before it can be officially de-stubbed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by The Great and Powerful Illyria (talkcontribs) 05:00, 28 January 2005.

It's not a matter of word count, it's a matter of how completely the subject has been covered. Something little more than a dictionary definition is definitely a stub. Something with obvious holes or which seems incompletely written is a stub. There is no hard objective definition; it's a matter of perception. Canonblack 13:00, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

As herself?? Some kind of joke? Acker does not play "herself" in season five of Angel.

Those credits are for featurettes on the Angel DVDs, in which she does indeed play herself. --Bacteria 02:13, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Spoilers

Don't you think that having the picture of Amy Acker as Illyria on the front page is a bit of a spoiler? --King Bee 16:18, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • I would say it is NOT a spoiler, since...how would you know what Illyria is before you see her on the show? It all happens in one episode. for someone just seeing that picture for the first time, they would have no idea what to think. SnaX 01:03, 19 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ancestry

edit

Is she German-Jewish or German on her paternal side? Acker clearly is a German surname. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.94.186.41 (talk) 00:27, 26 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Her ancestry is traced here and here. Her patrilineal line goes back to a Peter Acker, who was born in either Hunterdon Co., New Jersey, or in Germany, c. 1728, to John William Acker and Anna Dirdoff, who were German immigrants. So she has some distant German ancestry (and she isn't of Jewish heritage). All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 07:35, 29 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Why is that movie listed in her filmography? She isn't mentioned neither on the Wikipedia page for the movie nor on IMDb. Kumagoro-42 18:10, 7 December 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kumagoro-42 (talkcontribs)
