No, it was not copied directly. It it were, I would have used quotation marks and noted the page numbers. Hounshell's book is a few hundred pages long, and I summarized it in a few paragraphs. The book is listed in the References section. It therefore seemed silly to go through and tag everything with a long list of ibids; I have now made Harvard-style references wherever appropriate in the article. The "history" section contains "By 1808 annual production had reached 130,000 sailing blocks.[2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11]" which is putting far more citations than necessary, and half of them are repeats of the same work, obviously not adding to any credibility.99.160.144.78 (talk) 22:19, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
