Well, I think the redirect should go to the article that contains the information the visitors is most likely attempting to seek. When a peson searches Wikipedia for "American liberalism," he or she is most likely looking for the ideology currently called "liberalism" in the U.S. (the info found in Modern liberalism in the United States), not a history of liberalism in the United States (the info found in Liberalism in the United States). Better not to try to guess the state of mind of a hypothetical wikipedia user. Once they get to the general liberalism in the United States page, they can decide where they want to go from there. Rick Norwood (talk) 13:37, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
