Recommended changes to update the American Council on Education page by a disclosed ACE staff member

- What I think should be changed (include citations):
Opening paragraph: It should 1,600 (not 1,700) [1]
Leadership: Second paragraph ("The current board chair...") should be cut -- the info is outdated. The rest is good as is.
Programs and activities: This section should read:
ACE coordinates programs and activities in a number of areas related to higher education, including policy and advocacy, leadership, attainment and innovation, internationalization, and research.
• ACE’s Government Relations and National Engagement division communicates with congressional and presidential administration staff members about policy issues important to the higher education community. This includes submitting comments on proposed legislation and regulations, filing amicus curiae briefs in legal cases, and providing testimony for congressional hearings. The division also provides information on education issues and on ACE’s policy positions to the media, the general public, and members of the higher education community.[2]
• The ACE Fellows Program focuses on the study and practice of higher education leadership through a one-year placement at another institution.[3]
• The ACE Women’s Network connects women in higher education to support the professional development and advancement of women in the industry. The ACE Women’s Network Executive Council leads the Moving the Needle: Advancing Women in Higher Education Leadership® initiative, which works to increase gender parity in higher education senior leadership.[4]
• ACE Learning Evaluations maintains the ACE Military Guide and the ACE National Guide, catalogues of recommendation information for educational experiences.[5]
• ACE’s Education Futures division coordinates the council’s research, programs, communities, and innovation activities.
• The Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education® have been housed at ACE since February 2022. [6]
History: Most of this section is okay. Below are only changes requested.
Change "Twenty-first century (2001–Present)" to "The New Millennium (2001–19)"
In this section, in the second to last paragraph, add after "...Texas at Austin" "...and in 2022 to the Supreme Court regarding the Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) v. Harvard and SFFA v. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill cases." [7]
Added new sub section that heads.
Recent Years (2020–Present) In 2022, ACE and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching announced that the Universal and Elective Classifications would be housed at ACE. [8]

The article is outdated and much of the information is now incorrect. These changes simply update the outdated info.
