This article is way overlinked. Any term should only be wikilinked once. Also, the external links to player profiles are unnecessary and should be removed. If there is a web page where someone could go and search for all of those profiles, maybe it could be added as an external link. AdventurousSquirrel (talk) 02:31, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

I fail to see why this article does not meet notability standards. Consider the contents:
- the Cougars are the only US rugby union team ever to beat a South African reigning Currie Cup champion
- the Cougars are the only US team ever to beat a South African rugby union team
