No he didn't, how can you know if he did or not if the toxology report hasn't been released yet and they just did the autophy and it came back incloslive. I hate people who think they know everything. Wait until the freaking report comes back before you make false statements you have no clue about.The Cleveland Browns are awesome! It seems like CR stands for 'continuous release' but I can't find anything that specifically states so. Does anyone have a source for what CR stands for? Vicarious 06:29, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Ambien CR, used for insomnia, is marketed to the overworked, overstressed person. It is designed for extremely short term use, 1-2 days not more than 2 weeks(www.ambien.com). It is a well publized drug using TV, magazine, and website advertising to attract the consumer. It is a FDA approved drug( www.ambien.com). Clinical Trials were done to test the effectiveness and reliabilty of this drug(www.ambien.com,Indications) but has been in the news lately because of its side effects. It can cause overeating and sleepwalking(www.ambien.com,In the News).

Sanofi-aventis,the drug company that manufactures Ambien CR is the #1 ranked pharmaceutical company in Europe and # 3 in the world.It also has a company in New York(www.ambien.com). The drug industry is multi-billion dollar business(Silverstein,Millions for Viagra, pg. 14). Um...actually Ambien is designed for extremely short-term use (under two weeks), not Ambien CR. For various different reasons, mostly pharmacokinetic, the FDA approved Ambien CR for long term treatment (1+ years) of insomnia. --Prisonnet 08:00, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Merger proposal

I see someone put this article up for merging but didn't create a section on the talk page. I support merging this article into the main zolpidem article. I really think that it is pretty pointless to have a seperate article for the same drug just because there is a time release mechanism on it. Also this article seems to rely very heavily on the manufacturers site www.ambiencr.com and seems to be leaning on the promotional angle of things. I am unsure of the neutrality of this article. I do not agree with using the manufacturers promotional website as a source especially not one of only 2 sources which aren't even inline cited.--Literaturegeek | T@1k? 05:41, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Deleted revisions
