Tore out redirect to Amazon, made article actually relevant to Amazonian

edit

The Amazonian is a major geological period (age) on Mars. The Solar System project has been lacking this page for some time, so I made a stub. I'm flagging the page there for expansion.

I don't foresee any major issues over the redirect deletion as none of the articles linked on from Amazon are actually Amazonian. Issues? Please raise them here. DanHobley (talk) 06:09, 21 June 2013 (UTC

  • I disagree, and have moved your Mars stub to Amazonian (Mars) and created a disambiguation page. The consensus since 2006 has been that the area of South America is the primary topic for "Amazonian", as in "Amazonian rain forest". PamD 07:08, 21 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Working up the article

edit

I just added a bunch of text off the top of my head to bulk out the article in the strat and chron section. However, I now realise it would probably sit better in a putative "Mars during the Amazonian" section. Feel free to move it around if someone actually wants to add some legitimate stratigraphic or chronologic info (...which isn't really my bag). I also pulled the cartoon entirely and moved some imagery around - my rationale was that without any text in the strat section that actually describes stratigraphy, it's just distracting and confusing. However, we should definitely put it back once we have some text relevant to the illustrations in here. DanHobley (talk) 06:57, 23 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your recent help with this article - I tried a few possible additions & related - *entirely* ok to rv/mv/ce of course - refs in article may need adj? - in any case - enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 14:28, 23 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
