Remember the furor that revolved around her brother finding her naked pictures on the Internet, and then she and her mother sued groups of people because they were peddling her pornography? If someone could elaborate on it in the article, I'd be grateful. Mike H 11:29, Dec 6, 2004 (UTC)

"pretty hot"?

Last line in 'Trivia': "She is pretty hot." Doesn't sound very official to me. I personally think she's exceptionally hot, but I wouldn't include that in a reference bio. --Whit 20:42, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

  • That would be an opinion.THen again, someone might think she's dirt ugly. Alyssacarmillo 04:26, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Body Hair?

Is it there on purpose, is it a medical condition, what? --Bahati 09:42, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Bluntly, it would help if you would explain what you were talking about. Don't make people jump through hoops, guessing at what you mean; it just makes them angry. That's one reason why people probably "just [don't] like [you]." -Dan 09:35, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
If someone knew the answer to my question they would definitely know what I'm talking about. But here's a link for you, just 'cos it's so important to me to be liked. :D

You could've also used that new website for searching. It's easy, just go to http://www.google.com and enter "Alyssa Milano body hair" (without the quotes) and you should get some results. Tell me if you get stuck, I'll be glad to guide you through. ;) --Bahati 21:49, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

I think I bolded up your text for you.I agree, but isn't think your opinion?Others might think she's horrible. - fan of Alyssa Milano
I just cleaned this page up a little for grammar and flow. I do think that certain sections should be dated and referenced a little better, like the one about AM appearing in plays--what years did she do these shows, and where? Also, the part about her humanitarian work refers to "this summer"--but which summer is that? Hope I didn't step on anyone's toes. LBoogey 03:46, 21 July 2006 (UTC)LBoogey

Weasel Words

"Milano has taken groundbreaking action to protect her rights and the rights of celebrities on the World Wide Web." That's one way of describing it. Harrassment is another. 213.211.211.217 12:03, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

This page has obviously been doctored by a PR or marketing rep.

I removed several blatant NPOV violations. Further, this quote: " Ariel's (main character of The Little Mermaid, the 1989 Disney film) body shape and personality were based upon that of Alyssa Milano, then starring on TV's Who's the Boss?" needs a citation and a trivia entry, not an entry in personal life. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.211.242.98 (talk) 21:34, 11 April 2007 (UTC).

Where are all the people she dated? she dated a lot of guys!

Removed

Removed the following as unsourced, unencyclopaedic, etc.

Alyssa is known both in the entertainment industry and general public for being a truly sweet and generous person. She has many loyal fans for this reason.

Her best role ever...

Why isn't her role in the Mario Ice Capades mentioned?

"You need a paramedic! I can't believe this, I'm here with a power surge!" 153.42.168.174 (talk) 22:31, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

NOPE!!!! Her best role was a phobe halliwell in charmed —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.190.86.82 (talk) 02:09, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Relationships with baseball players

Should there be mention of Ms. Milano's prior high profile relationships with Major League Baseball players? She previously dated Brad Penny, Carl Pavano and Barry Zito. TalonDB (talk) 07:11, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Kristin Newman Show

Hi,
I'm not sure whether The Futon Critic is a reliable source but if it is Alyssa's new project has a name:

"My Bother's Hot (An Other Dilemmas)"

(see http://futoncritic.com/devwatch.aspx?id=my_brothers_hot and http://futoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=7621)

I just don't find any other source that tells the show's name so I'm not sure if that name can already be mentioned. (Actually, I'm not sure if the project should be mentioned at all, since they are only producing the pilot and ABC didn't by the whole show, yet.) — Tauriel-1 () 11:17, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

OK, since someone already added that information I take it that The Futon Critic is a reliable source. :-) — Tauriel-1 () 19:16, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Twitter

It is her official twitter account. It has been verified by twitter. www.twitter.com/Alyssa_Milano Terrence12690 (talk) 06:33, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Twitter pages are included at WP:ELNO. Wildhartlivie (talk) 06:46, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Ghostbusters

I can't edit this information for some reason, but her role in the Ghostbusters video game is incorrect. The character she actually plays is Dr. Ilyssa Selwyn, not Dana Barret.

Arms

There should be a reference to her hairy arms. Someone calling themselves Martin451 has removed an edit referring to them saying it was "unconstructive". This is incomprehensible; it is constructive both to refer to an attractive feature of hers and her evident proselytising of women's freedom to control their own bodies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.3.128.104 (talk) 19:48, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

No, it isn't constructive. Because you personally find something sexy and attractive has nothing to do with encyclopedic value. Had Martin451 not removed your addition, I would have. Wildhartlivie (talk) 20:57, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

My Charity:Water

The section used to say something along the lines of "Alyssa's goal was initially 25,000, but a donation from her husband crossed the 75,000 dollar mark on Dec. 18" This made it sound as if he personally was responsible for the majority of the spike (He only donated 896, which i THINK was what was needed for the amount to be over 75,000, which is where the old information came from) But in fact, the spike was due to the fact that Nathan Fillion, whom is the star of the show Castle, which Alyssa was on recently, told his fans about it. If one looks on the My Charity: Water page, a substantial amount of messages say something like "Nathan Fillion sent me", etc.

Felt like I should give credit where credit is due.--98.149.214.120 (talk) 02:54, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

Adult actress?

I know what is meant, but doesn't this make it sound a bit like she does porn? Is there a better way of putting this? VenomousConcept (talk) 18:02, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Good question. Got any suggestions? Wildhartlivie (talk) 19:05, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
I tried to address it. Won't take it personally if anyone reverts. Townlake (talk) 21:29, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

I think we should reclassify it entirely. There's a clear timeline in Milano's career, which categorizes her different styles. We have her child star/teen idol period going on from 1984 to 1992. Then from 1992 to 1996 she had her TV movie / erotic lowbudget film period going on (with also some 'edgy' photoshoots (Bikini Magazine in '93) gaining her some publicity. Then we have her comeback from 1997 to 2006, featuring her very successful runs on two hit series (Melrose Place and Charmed), and also a film (Hugo Pool). I don't know how to categorize her post-2006 career. It's sort of low-pitched. Let's hope her new show will do wonders. I'm terrible with coming up titles, but in my opinion, her career should be classified in:

1984-1992: (title)
1992-1996 (title)
1997-2006: (title)
2006-present: (title).

Anyone agreeing on this? And besides her career, she deserves a special section for her humanitarion work and her work for baseball and its related fashion line (and her book). AndMoviefan (talk) 21:45, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Actually, I don't agree. Using section titles that are year spans aren't informative to the reader, for whom it is written. Wildhartlivie (talk) 00:48, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Well, it's used at tons of other articles. Other opinions? Because just 'Early career' and 'Recent roles' is so cheap... Kind of insulting for Milano, really. Moviefan (talk) 18:47, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Actually, "early career" and "recent roles" are used at tons of other articles. It isn't cheap and it isn't an insult for Milano. That would be your personal POV. Wildhartlivie (talk) 00:00, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Maybe 'early career' and 'later career'? because obviously films from 1997 aren't that recent... VenomousConcept (talk) 16:47, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Wildhartlivie, why do you keep on thinking you're the owner of this article? You seem to be the only one thinking 'recent roles' is appropriate. 1997 is not recent. It's also quite noticable you don't think "year spans aren't informative", considering you don't have any problems with it at Kate Winslet's page. Moviefan (talk) 06:45, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

The charge of ownership is one that is made routinely by editors whose edits are opposed. You cannot say, "Hey, we win. There are two of us and only one of you." That isn't a consensus. Give it time for others to respond here. Your suggestions of year spans weren't at all informative. Wildhartlivie (talk) 09:29, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
And those at Kate Winslets are informative? If a person comes to this article with a specific search in mind, he couldn't expect help from the sections, because they are too meaningless. Exactly when to when was her 'early career'? What exact event lead to the next section? If I come here thinking, "well, I like to read on her Who's the Boss days", I'd have no idea where to search. And especially for people who are not native English, it's annoying not to have direct, clear, straight-to-the-point sections. Who decided 'early career' and 'recent roles' are appropriate? Who decided those were the best sections? Was it even decided? Moviefan (talk) 17:56, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Please do not attempt to discuss other articles here. The Kate Winslet article has been designated a good article and it takes more than "I think..." to implement POV changes on such articles. You're wearing out any attempt to assume good faith and you're beginning to remind me of another editor who has been banned here, hmmm, makes one wonder. Stop trying to impose your POV on things here. It won't work. It's quite stupid to claim you wouldn't know where to find Who's the Boss? when you know it wasn't something done the last 10 or 15 years. Also, just so you know, starting section titles with dates makes errors in the software and there are efforts underway to do away with those, so please stop trying to impose them and never say if someone doesn't respond to you that you'll do something. Blackmail much? Wildhartlivie (talk) 04:02, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
I seem to understand you love sensation. Taking a remark and twisting it to blackmail is quite interesting. Trying to look through your very overbearing, condescending attitude, I'm yet to find any answers to my questions. I thought we were all equal, but you seem to think you're the one in charge here. Could you please give some arguments why roles of films released in 1997 could be considered 'recent' (especially in an article of a person who was born in 1972)? Oh, and I would appreciate it if you won't call me stupid again.Moviefan (talk) 21:28, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
PS: If you're going to try to make me look bad, please be complete. My "blackmailing" 'to do something' = making edits on Alyssa Milano's page based on my believes would contribute something positive on her page. I can see how that deserves a ban...? Moviefan (talk) 21:33, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
I seem to understand that you should comment on the content, not the editor. You are the one who jumped up and down and insisted that if I don't answer you, you'll go ahead and do what you want. That's blackmail, dear, and you're doing it. The issue is that you want very very much to make section titles that include dates after I just told you that it is causing widespread error messages in the Wikipedia software. I didn't call you stupid, I called it stupid that you think a date is necessary to find Who's the Boss?. And again, do you have another account? I think you do or you were blocked here before. Wildhartlivie (talk) 08:34, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
I don't have another account and I have never been blocked before, because I've never done anything wrong on Wikipedia. If you feel I did, that's your problem. If you're unwilling to respond to substantive questions, then I am done here (unless someone else responds). If you'd like to continue the bashing; good luck, but don't expect for me to waste any time on it.Moviefan (talk) 09:16, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

No, it's your problem. Actually, you have done things wrong and that will be taken up later on. Meanwhile, you launch personal attacks, engage in POV editing, and the sock puppet investigation issue is currently being dealt with. Wildhartlivie (talk) 10:19, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Citing interviews?

Is it possible to reference interviews? Because, what is more reliable than information coming from Milano herself? I'm talking about talkshow interviews and stuff like that... If so, how can I cite them correctly? Moviefan (talk) 21:09, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

It is, if you can get the appearance information. There is a template for episode appearances - {{cite episode}} that can cover the ref. Just don't use a link to YouTube, because most of those are technically copyright violations. Wildhartlivie (talk) 21:29, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

where's the nude photo info?

I don't mean to put one here. I mean wasn't there a fight to get nude photos off the internet or published? Her mother led the fight and won. Is this true? If so, a sentence or two for the article? Suomi Finland 2009 (talk) 19:13, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
