Akkoyunlu

The historical information about the commissioner of the bridge is not reliable. Akkoyunlu Empire was founded much later than 1209 and they were never been in the west part of Anatolia. The inscription may refer to a family rather than the empire and the name Akkoyunlu was undoubtedly a name resemblance. Thus the link points to an unrelated page. I'll call the editor. Noted. Thanks. Sadly (1) most of the best sources on this are likely to be in Turkish and (2) I do not understand Turkish. I think, however, that you probably do. I'm sorry if I have placed reliance on an unreliable source. If you are able to check out the available sources and correct the entry accordingly, please do so, substituting a better source (or two or more) as appropriate. And thank you much.
