Is it possible that this species is named after Henry Nicholas Ridley? He seems to have been quite the figure in the region and he has other species named after him. If this were discovered, it would probably be good for this article and the article on Ridley himself.

This source from 1910 has more information, and it looks like it is saying that someone named Ridley described the organism in question. But that doesn't prove it's the same person. It would probably be good if someone obtained more information from that source, but it's a little hard to read the Latin.
