Vivipary edit

I have a flower similar to this and it grows plantlets on the flower stalk. I am assuming that this is an example for vivipary and I am not sure if this genus shows this character. Shyamal 05:53, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

A. caerulea vs A. coerulea edit

Whilst both A. caerulea and A. coerulea appear in ZipcodeZoo, the Australian Plant Name Index only lists A. caerulea. OTOH, (eg) most Google hits for A. coerulea appear to actually be referring to A.caerulea and one of my references also appears to mis-spell A.caerulea as A. coerulea. If A. coerulea does exist as a distinct species, it appears to be uncommon and most search hits on it actually mean A.caerulea. I would therefore like to suggest that Alpinia coerulea be created as a redirect to Alpinia caerulea and a note made in both Alpinia and Alpinia caerulea explaining this. Comments please. --PeterJeremy (talk) 04:21, 22 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
