Number of high schools in Beaverton School District
The number of high schools in the BSD has changed from 7 to 8 as the International School of Beaverton has/will extend[ed] into the 9-12 grades, and is recognized as a high school by the BSD.Twigge 17:28, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

interesting facts / history
During my time at Aloha High School (1994) I ended up making it down to the old firing range under the school. I dont remember where I heard originally that the school was at one time a purposed building for a State Pen. facility and they backed out of it at the last moment. I found a box of Star Wars paperback books dating to 1977. That is the reason that the windows are very narrow or non-existant, they didnt want you to escape.

- I have heard the same thing in local folklore growing up. My parents (who attended at Aloha) and grandparents told me the blueprint was originally made for a prison, but the neighborhood (including my grandmother who lived nearby at 198th and Farmington) heavily protested. I only wish I could find a web or book source to cite for this one because I'm sure it's true.Dragonnas (talk) 04:08, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
