Musical career, first paragraph

Not long afterwards, sister Shelby Lynne moved to Nashville for a career in music, and after her high school graduation, Moorer followed. She sang harmonies with her sister for a while but returned to Alabama to earn a degree in public relations. She skipped the graduation ceremony to move back to Nashville.

I just thought I'd write the following:

Allison Moorer is the guest this week on The Buddy & Jim Show (a new episode debuts on Saturday night and is rebroadcast a few times during the following week) on the Outlaw Country channel of Sirius XM satellite radio. She said she graduated from high school at the age of sixteen (i.e., before her seventeenth birthday on June 21, 1989, if the date in the infobox is correct) and started her freshman year of college (at the University of South Alabama in Mobile) when she had just turned seventeen. I suppose she could have spent that summer with her sister; however, she made no mention of it, and shortly thereafter Buddy Miller or Jim Lauderdale (I don't remember which) asked if she knew anyone in Nashville when she moved there after college. She replied that her sister was there; that was the first mention of Shelby Lynne being in Nashville. I can't imagine that when the show was edited, this part was chopped up in order to falsely give the impression that she didn't go to Nashville after high school.

She said her degree was in public relations / journalism and that she wrote a number of journalistic articles while in college.

As for the last sentence of the paragraph, indeed, she said on the day she took her last college exam, she packed up her car and left for Nashville.

Mockingbird

Currently, the article states, "Moorer released the Buddy Miller-produced Mockingbird in February 2008; [semicolon sic] an album mainly of covers..." Current relationship

In this article from the Guardian [1], Steve Earle says that she left him for "a younger, skinnier, less talented singer-songwriter". Who is this person? --Viennese Waltz 11:49, 14 June 2017 (UTC)

Moorer married Hayes Carll in 2019, and in March 2020, they are touring as a duo. (I wouldn't trust anything that Steve Earle says about his exes, given his marriage track record. Earle is a great musician and songwriter, though.) Acwilson9 (talk) 20:22, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
