Years active
editIf they formed "sometime in the 1960s", then why does the infobox say they first were active in 1979? (Is that when they first became popular?) Guroadrunner 05:35, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Answer : thnx for u're question . the alleycats formed in the 60's but their first album was in 1979-jason.
Death of Loga
editMoved from the main article due to non-encyclopedic tone.
The passing of Loga
editLoganathan Arumugam, fondly known as Loga, passed away at 10:50am on June 4 2007 at the age of 54. He is survived by his wife Susan Lovie, a son Vickneswharan (23) and a daughter Priyadarshini (20). David Arumugam revealed that his sibling was diagnosed with lung cancer (eight months ago), and was admitted to the Mount Miriam Hospital, Penang. David also stated that his brother was "trying his best to fight this [cancer]". [1]
In a newspaper interview following Loga's passing, his wife's message to fans was: "As long as you keep listening to his music, Loga will continue to live on." [2]
The passing of Loga has impacted many fans from all walks of life. Fans of Loga and the Alleycats deeply mourn Loga's loss; this can be seen in letters written to local newspapers following the days of Loga's death.
An example of a fan's tribute to Loga:
Alleycats’ Loga has past away ALLEYCATS - LOGA PAST AWAY ...[05 May 2007,Tuesday] OUR deepest condolences to loga's wife Suzan, son Vignesh, daughter Darshini, bro David arumugam, shum, all alleycats team & all the family. We couldn't bear to stop tears because it brought back too many memories . Loga's left a deep mark on our heart. It's sad to see a life ended like this. Loga we miss u-jason.
Notable
editI wonder if this article is even notable, it only has one reference. Unless some are added I will have to consider nominating this for deletion. John Hayes 15:18, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
please don' do that. keep this alleycats page alive-j.
- It's not up to me. Make it more notable if you want to keep it. John Hayes 09:01, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well there is one more reference now, which is good, but try and include some from different publications. John Hayes 16:14, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- I have been trying to find some references, but I can't find any. Makes me wonder even more how notable this is. John Hayes 08:32, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
I have now found a load of references, "alleycats malaysia news" in google brings quite a few different results. Removing notability notice. John Hayes 08:51, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
