Notability? The Russian empress was set on a course to improve medical care for her subjects, and was using British doctors and surgeons to help. Allan Burns was invited to assist with this programme.

I have not developed that theme in this biography. Perhaps I should?

This article should be joint with Allan Burns (physician). However, i don't if it is useful about his notability, but the Plica of Allan Burns or Allan Burns'ligament, a component of the Saphenous opening in the Femoral triangle, is named after him.--HermesII (talk) 19:58, 19 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
