Pinochle edit

How does this game relate to Pinochle ? I note some similarities, and if they are valid, that might be an interesting thing for the article to discuss if it could be sourced. Lar: t/c 17:42, 10 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Just to close this off, All Fours is not related to Pinochle. All Fours arose in 17th century England and may have been imported from Holland. Pinochle was first recorded in the mid-19th century and is probably descended from Swiss Binocle which in turn is related to Bezique. The main feature of Pinochle - its range of melds - is absent from All Fours. Also the trick-taking play is different. Bermicourt (talk) 13:21, 1 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

And as far as I am concerned, it's just been rated as Class xyz on the quality scale, and if you're reading this go get some historical information as for the game, date the period and find source, so you can move to another article.
