What does "in the price." mean in the very first sentence? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.43.249.184 (talk) 00:56, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

The pros and cons section seems like it would apply to many resorts, not just all-inclusive resorts. ike9898 (talk) 18:30, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Invented by whom? edit

In many Borscht Belt sources, it is stated that the Catskills resorts invented the concept of "all-inclusive", probably because a lot of those hotels developed from dairy and chicken farms which did serve their own products.

  • "Another key aspect of the Borscht Belt’s far-reaching legacy? The invention of the all-inclusive resort." [1]
  • "Borscht Belt resorts were also the pioneers in offering all-inclusive stays, a concept that revolutionized the middle-class American vacation." [2]
  • "The large resorts – such as Grossinger’s, Kutsher’s, the Concord, and the Nevele – were pioneers of the “all-inclusive vacation,” offering three meals a day, snacks, entertainment, child care, sports facilities: everything you can get now at Club Med – plus a knish to die for." [3]
  • "These resorts were also the creators of the all-inclusive vacation package." [4]
