Date of birth

It's either 1967 or 1968, probably '68. I was at the same secondary school, " Henbury comprehensive" in Bristol as Alice from 1979 to 1986. She can't possibly have been born in 1971 as that would make her younger than her siblings who are in fact younger than she is (born in 1969/70 and 1971/72)!! Must be at latest a 1969 vintage. I can indeed having grown up very close by and knowing the family. All families attended the same junior school and the majority of us the same senior school. I can name the pet dog and the siblings. I remember Alice's 69/70 brother from school (Henbury), and my 67/68 brother was in the same class for English (John Head's), so I suppose she was in the 67/68 cohort - which way do August children go? My father tells of lunching with Dr Evans - a colleague sidled up and asked how old his "little girl" was these days? She seems to have mentioned to a few journalists that the d.o.b. has been altered. This is what she told Lucy Cavendish, "Many years ago, when I interviewed the actress Alice Evans (wife of actor Ioan Gruffudd), she told me she was over 30, but her press people did not want her to reveal this. I was at UCL with her in 1987. Since you have to be a minimum of 18 to go to university (unless you're a genius which she is not) then she must have been born between Sep 1st 1968 and Aug 31st 1969. She had a very strong Bristol accent at the time which she does not use in her acting career and she was dating Sankha Guha who was the presenter of BBC shows like Rough Guide and Network 7. People.com which just ran a story about the birth of her second child, has her down as 45 years of age and in the comments section, the editor claims this: "Per the DMV – one of the agencies we verify ages with – she was born Aug. 2, 1968. She has consistently lied about her date of birth. She was born 2 August 1968 in New York as Alice Jane Evans (mother's maiden name Dowell). The birth is registered under British Armed Forces And Overseas Births And Baptisms, Gro Births Abroad Indices (1966 To 1978).TheMathemagician (talk) 11:13, 27 October 2021 (UTC)

Megarace II

I was looking at the cast of an old DOS game called Megarace II that I used to play and Alice Evans appears on the cast list. From the photos that I have seen of her it is definitely the same person that features throughout the game, yet there is no mention of it in any online biography of Ms Evans. Could it be that she doesnt want this made public? After all, she was in a bikini for most of the appearances...Andmark (talk) 14:18, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Place of birth

Serious question. I understand (from above) that her year of birth is disputed, but what about place of birth. I understood and these sources ([2], [3], [4]) indicate she was born in New Jersey to British parents, but Wikipedia indicates Bristol, England. Anybody know anything about this? Thanks.
