Was Ali actually the collector of king bird-of-paradise on Aru? edit
I have marked the uncited statement that "On Aru, it was probably Ali who collected the specimens of the king bird-of-paradise (Cicinnurus regius)"
as 'Disputed'. It seems to be WP:OR. This article by the Assistant Director of the University Museum of Zoology, Cambridge suggests it was another young, local assistant named Baderoon. Nick Moyes (talk) 21:40, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- I've now deleted the uncited sentence completely, having managed to find a reference to Wallace's account (pages 338 to 339 inclusive) in The Malay Archipelago, clearly stating that it was Ali's counterpart, Baderoon, who provided him with the specimen.
