editThere's a photograph of this article's subject available (see thumb on right) extracted from The Persian Revolution of 1905-1909 (1910) by Edward Granville Browne. It might be preferable to use the photo over the current painting (actual photo vs. artist's rendering), but it might also be preferable to use the more colourful etc. painting as the lead image (drawing the reader in). As the matter is arguable and there's no room for more than one image in the article as it stands, I'm leaving this note on talk instead of editing directly.
The book from which the photo was extracted may also be useful as a source for this article. I haven't assessed it for reliability and I'm not very familiar with this area, but it does appear to be a very contemporary account by a generally reliable and then well-regarded scholar. It does have some rather obvious biases so Browne's scholarship may have been discredited by later scholarship. Someone actually familiar with the area will have to make the judgement, is what I'm saying. Xover (talk) 09:51, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
