User:Nipsonahomhmata insistently changed Category:People from Istanbul to Category:Constantinopolitans with his claim such like it was not called Istanbul when he was born there and it was not called Istanbul when he died.
But category says: This category contains people who were born in the city of Constantinople (modern Istanbul) during the Byzantine Empire (330–1453).
It's very easy thing.

- ok I get it. You don't have to make a meal of it. The category description change was a recent change that I was not aware of. It's yet another Wikipedia invention. Even though Constantinople was still officially and predominantly called Constantinople globally till the late 1920s Wikipedia says that it stopped being called Constantinople when the Ottomans took the over the city. It's a reinvention of history. Nipsonanomhmata (Talk) 23:58, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- This is not the matter of nameing of places, but matter of Wikipedia:Categorization. I think it's necessary to create Category:People from New Amsterdam in addition to Category:People from New York. Takabeg (talk) 00:04, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
