The reference for the article is not an obituary. The reference is to an article in the distinguished Dictionary of Canadian Biography. McKay was very influential in the field of education in Nova Scotia.--Hantsheroes (talk) 01:25, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
- Apologies. I conflated the two references as I was writing my comments. However an article in the Dictionary of Canadian Biography is not sufficient on its own to establish notability. It is certainly very helpful, but the text, as it stands, does not add up to notability by Wikipedia's standards. Can you find some more and relevant refs to demonstrate notability ? What actually did he do, over and above what others did to make hime notable ? I would be very happy to support keeping this article if there was good reason so to do.
