Stevens–Johnson syndrome

edit

Hiya,

My daughter in March of this year was diagnosed with the above and she is 5 years old. This was due to a reaction to penicillin. I am trying to find out whether she is the youngest patient in the UK to be diagnosed with this syndrome as it is a 1 in a million and was wondering whether any other children have been diagnosed with this syndrome?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.49.207.238 (talkcontribs) 14:41, 12 June 2008

This page is for discussing edits to the Alder Hey Children's Hospital article, so you are not likely to get an answer to your question here. As an alternative you may wish to try the Wikipedia:Reference desk, which aims to answer more general knowledge questions. Road Wizard (talk) 17:29, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Royal"

edit

I've deleted a line in the history which said that it gained the prefix 'Royal' in 1985. The wiki entry at paeds.co.uk states that it gained royal patronage then, but I haven't found anything more specific than that on-line. As the hospital seems to be universally referred to as Alder Hey, I thought it was better to remove it rather than tag it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aoeuidhtns (talkcontribs) 23:12, 5 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Organ scandal buried

edit

The scandal that (outside the region) the hospital is probably best known for is buried at the bottom of the page, and isn't in the history. Reserving cautious editing judgment by not editing, but I for one think it's a little deceptive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Swornlazed (talkcontribs) 02:08, 31 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi - Now moved to the history section as suggested. Dormskirk (talk) 09:40, 31 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Rhesus factor

edit

My understanding is that Alder Hey was one of the lead sites for research into, and early treatment for, the conditions associated with rhesus factor conditions in newborns, in the early 1960s. Can we get anything on that? Andy Dingley (talk) 15:46, 26 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
