Q: Why aren't various pale characters from anime/manga titles listed in this article?
A: Violates Wikipedia policies. With a few exceptions (which are in the article), no reliable sources state that these characters are in fact intended to be portrayals of albinism, and, as with all information in Wikipedia, we must cite published verifiable information. In the vast majority of cases, such characters are simply given an unusual appearance out of artistic license. Including such characters in this article as albinistic on the basis of personal belief that they are intended to portray albinism, but without reliable sources that say so, is also a violation of Wikipedia's policies on neutral point of view and no original research.
Q: Why aren't various pale aliens, demons, wizards, curse-victims, etc., etc., listed in this article?
A: Violates Wikipedia policies. As with anime characters (above), most such cases have no reliable sources that they are intended to be depictions of albinism. Albinism is a genetic condition inherited at conception; see the albinism article for details. Being pale due to being a space alien, a ghost, the subject of strange experiements, imbued with magical poweres, or a supernatural being from fairyland are generally not cases of albinism. Adding such characters to the article would be a violation of WP's verifiability, original research and neutrality policies, as mentioned above.
Q: Shouldn't there be a section for borderline cases that are clearly part of the "evil albino stereotype" even if the original book, film, etc., didn't specifically state that the character in question is albinistic?
A: No consensus. We do not yet have consensus on this (pro or con), nor any active discussion about it, as of this writing [last updated: 04:28, 5 January 2011 (UTC)]. Feel free to start a new discussion of this idea if you feel strongly about the matter one way or another.
